Rachel’s awareness of the latest developments in dog law assists accurate and supportive information to be given, especially regarding responsible ownership, welfare and canine aggression.
Specialising in puppy development, socialisation and training, Rachel is a Licentiate member of the PDTI, (Pet Dog Training Instructors), and is working towards full accreditation (KCAI) under the Kennel Club Accreditation Scheme for Instructors in Dog Training and Behaviour. She is also currently enrolled with Harper Adams University College in the final year of a Level 5 Diploma in Canine Training & Behavioural Management, which runs in partnership with the PDTI.
With an academic background in Psychology, Rachel was awarded the 1995 College prize for outstanding achievement in this subject and has specialised in canine studies since 2002.
With a career that has involved employment within veterinary practice since 2002, Rachel’s working involvement with dogs started in 1991 as a kennel hand and has also included editorial production for Dogs Today magazine.
